Recognition Fund for voluntary work

The Freiwilligengesetz (Federal Act on the Promotion of Voluntary Engagement) established the Recognition Fund for Voluntary Engagement for the special recognition and upgrading of voluntary engagement.

Financial contributions from the fund are intended for

• the development or actual implementation of innovative measures,
• or special activities or initiatives

which contribute to the sustainable safeguarding of voluntary work in Austria.

Both legal persons (maximum contribution amount of up to 15,000 Euro) and natural persons (up to 1,000 Euro) can receive contributions from the fund. The federal government provides funding of 500,000 euros annually for this purpose.

There is no legal claim.
