Recognition Fund for voluntary work
The Freiwilligengesetz (Federal Act on the Promotion of Voluntary Engagement) established the Recognition Fund for Voluntary Engagement for the special recognition and upgrading of voluntary engagement.
Financial contributions from the fund are intended for
- the development or actual implementation of innovative measures,
- or special activities or initiatives
which contribute to the sustainable safeguarding of voluntary work in Austria.
Grants from the fund can be awarded to both legal persons (maximum grant amount up to 30,000 euros) and natural persons (up to 1,000 euros; up to 5,000 euros in connection with the awarding of the State Prize for Voluntary and Honorary Commitment in Austria). The federal government provides funding of 500,000 euros annually for this purpose.
There is no legal claim.
